What Customers Say About A Study Guide to Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights:

Doesn't flow as well as some other books I have read, but still a good read never the less. A little bit hard to read.

It's as if part of me is on the moors with Heathcliff and Catherine. It has a certain Edgar Allen Poe feel to it.

The ghostly images of the loss of love by the sea. It kind of reminds me of Annabelle Lee.

I love this book. In fact, I think that this is one of the books that influenced me to write about children.

And I can always imagine the two of them, Heathcliff and Catherine, playing as children, pretending the moors were castles.Ainsworth Heathcliff is unforgettable.

There is something so haunting about their childhood romance that never went the way it should have.

I do so love happy endings. Wuthering Heights in not a love story unless one defines love as the most selfish, base, greedy, unpleasant and ungenerous of emotions. It might be called "passion" of a distinctly warped, and twisted variety, but certainly not "love".Heathcliff is an unregenerate sadist; a psychopath wreaking havoc on every innocent in his orbit. If I'd been a character in the book, I'd have murdered him.I did, admittedly, read the book with great interest.and was thrilled when the [.].died.

But I like to think I became a little bit more cultured, if not a bit smarter after reading it because it is a great piece of literature. Overall a good story, although sometimes it is hard to follow because it was written over 200 years ago and is definitely written in old English.

Amazon--please fix. Why in God's name is Alice Hoffman's blog attached to a description of Bronte's timeless classic.
